It appears certain Hollywood execs are so concerned about the future of storytelling that they’ve asked MIT to help them understand if the old model is dead.
An article in the New York Times suggests that executives believe the traditional narrative is being threatened by cellphones, Twitter and Guitar Hero and is being drowned out by noise and visual clutter.
The same could be said for Madison Avenue, where the traditional 30 second narrative format seems under threat from exactly the same forces.
However, is there anyone at MIT looking at the future of the 30 second narrative?
