To your question, the points themselves, and the community mean and median, are the way to track overall activity. 

We should be charting point totals, mean, and median along with the coefficient.</description>

		<description>I&#039;m all championing more equal distribution of participation in online communities. And I like this metric for measuring that.

But, wouldn&#039;t this metric show a an equally strong score if everyone&#039;s participation on average dropped or if everyone&#039;s participation on average increased? It only measures their equalness, right? So we&#039;d need another (probably simpler?) metric to measure if overall participation was increasing.</description>
