whatconsumesme.com is brand new

As a way of giving thanks, on our national holiday of thanksgiving, I’ve updated the site to be more interesting, useful, and aesthetically pleasing. I’m still making minor edits throughout, but I wanted to go ahead and share the news.

Elements you’ll want to check out right now (beyond the obvious face-lift):

  • Images I’ve Found – I’ve separated out the photos/images I grab across the web into their own section and have arranged them so you can view more on a single page (a la yayeverday.com).
  • Posts By Others I’ve Shared – Formerly known as ‘What I’m Reading,’ I’ve updated the code of the site to link more directly to the original source, I’ve truncated the posts themselves (to be more fair to the original publisher), and I’ve added my Delicious feed next to the posts.
  • Updated Comments – These look a lot better now, and I’m going to add more functionality here in the coming days.

Ways to follow the content outside of the .com:

  • Follow on Twitter – The site account will update when there’s something new shared or written and what’s best is that when a post is shared (meaning written by someone else) the link will go directly to the other site. Hopefully this will add some more traffic to my favorite sites.
  • RSS – Visit the site and scroll to the footer to find all the feeds you need to follow what I’ve written and what I’ve shared (images and posts are now separated).

I really do want to take a second and thank you (if you’re reading this, you’re worthy of praise) for giving your time and attention to my little corner of the web. Your comments, your tweets, and your visits are really appreciated.

Please let me know what you think of the new site.
