the #bucketbrigade needs your help

I’m beginning to think my plate is a little too full.
If you’re the sort of person who looks for extra-curricular work activities to hone your skills, can start and lead your own projects, and has excellent communication skills – then I need your help. Mostly I’m looking for two somebodies to lend around 8 dedicated hours per week.
What I’m looking for:
Strategic Project Manager – someone to lead the process of tapping the Bucket Brigade to define holistic strategic platforms for potential (pro-bono) clients and programs like Leave No Right Brain Behind. Someone to help me test the mettle of the process outlined here – in essence to field test a new paradigm for strategic work. With that in mind, I’m looking for someone with experience running projects on their own (an expert in getting shit done), and a rabid curiosity for doing things better. Your activities might include responding to RFP’s, coordinating teams inside basecamp, and potentially helping me dream up challenges for the community to flex their brain muscles responding to.
Research Assistant – The premise of the book is this: if the world is truly more interconnected, interrelated, and complex than ever before, what are the lessons we need to learn to navigate such a world? I need someone to help me comb through the mountain of research papers and case studies I’ve collected, in addition to being curious and sussing out some on your own. I need someone who has actual experience running research and getting it organized. I’m looking for someone that can look at how I’ve done it, laugh, and then do it 100x better.
To fill these spots, I’m definitely interested in anyone who has the passion and experience to make it happen. On my own, I cannot pay you at this time. I can ensure you learn, gain some new experience, take some leadership, and then I’ll talk about you glowingly to anyone that will listen. In addition, you’d have the opportunity to work with the members of The Bucket Brigade, who are luminaries, visionaries, and other kinds of -aries inside the industry.
BUT.
I am also interested in agencies that could donate 20% time for a staff member to participate, or an academic group that could offer credit for a student to take on the research gig. Think of it as becoming a sponsor of the project, and to learn from the experience yourself. I’m also happy to offer speaking services to that agency/group as well (and maybe more). If you have some other creative idea for arrangement, please do contact me and share. If you’re interested in either position, perhaps it behooves you to urge your employer to consider this kind of arrangement. Let me know how I can help.
Lastly, if you are interested in either position, please do follow the contact link above and hit me with why you’re interested and how you’re experienced.
For the sake of having a deadline, let’s say hit me via email by Monday February 7th.
(Thanks to Brent Dixon and Sarah Blue for doing some thinking around this)
